SINDEN THEATRE - 22 MARCH 2008

March saw our debut performance at the Sinden Theatre in Tenterden.  We prepared for this gig by playing a warm-up at The Ship in Erith a week before, where we delivered a couple of tight and fluent sets.  All this despite a certain bass player’s failure to check the battery in his wireless system before starting.

At The Sinden itself, we were met with some rather unpleasant screeches between songs.  These weren’t coming from the audience, but from some gremlins who decided to invade Al’s wireless system at some point between the soundcheck and the gig itself.  We were a few songs into the set before we figured out where the problem was.  Imagining how this must sound to the audience had become quite distracting and we had to work hard to stay focussed.  Once we had it solved, things settled down and we were really pleased with the way the show developed.  The second half was particularly lively and despite us having played all our rehearsed material, the crowd were still calling for more.  Their requests were met with a somewhat unusual version of Solid Rock, which we have now decided to learn properly.  It was good to see our previous drummer Phil in the audience.

GREAT EASTERN HOTEL - 02 FEBRUARY 2008

2008 saw the debut of Paul (our new drummer) at the Great Eastern Hotel up in Suffolk.  Despite a few ‘sticky moments’, the fantastic audience clearly enjoyed themselves immensely and as a result, so did we.  The place was absolutely packed with enthusiastic listeners and we really look forward to coming back to Brandon at some point in the not too distant future – we might even play Telegraph Road!
